Innovative and hype cuisine with a good proposal of pairing wines. Young staff very well supervised. A special mention for the waiter from Cordoba and his excellent knowledge in wines and empathy to customers. A bit expensives ~100€ /pp with 4 courses and wine pairing.

We decided to go for the 4 course surprise menu with the wine to go with each course. Food was excellent, the wine to go with it was also great. It was a bit expensive, but it's not something you do every week. Would go back in the future.

I booked in to Senses restaurant as we were celebrating my Girlfriend's birthday and fancied something different for a change...what we got was exactly that, something completely different. Our server Francesco was incredibly knowledgable about the food we were being served and the pairing of wine to our meals. We chose the surprise menu and we were asked if we had any allergies or if there was anything specific we didn't fancy having. We chose the 3 course option but actually ended up having 5 courses with compliments from the Chef. Our main was by far the best course, and the fillet of beef we were served was cooked in the most amazing way. This place deserves the reputation that it is earning and things can only get better for them. Try this place out, you won't be disappointed! Minder

Couldn't fault the service, food or place itself. Staff were fantastic and kept the drinks flowing and the table clear of clutter. Could not fault the food in any way, don't want to say too much to ruin the surprise! Staff were very accommodating considering my nut allergy and it was nice to be included instead of being fobbed off with a fruit salad for dessert. Would highly recommended Senses for an alternative experience was nice to do something different.

This is located just near all the hustle and bustle in the south of the city near the end of the Singel. But you wouldn't know it when inside, because you seem to be in a different world to the busy street outside. Except for the fact that when people enter or leave - or annoyingly take excessive cigarette breaks the noise and particularly the cold comes in. Best to choose a table far away if given the choice. The service was initially patchy, although well intended, with a bit of a challenge ordering drinks, and then a wait for the to come as well as the amuse bouche. But his was nothing serious, and we had a lovely evening having all the courses available on the tasting menu. Except cheese of course. The food was of a very good standard, and incredibly well presented. Our only complaint would be that every fine dining restaurant is doing the same on-trend food. Enough of the beetroot and mackerel! (Even though I like both and they were tasty again here). We left absolutely stuffed full of food, and some of it was very impressive - the cucumber noodles, cod and beef dishes were delightful; the liver pate not to our taste, but very cleverly presented, and a great range of mini desserts. I highly recommend.

We were a party of 14 (on a hen do) and had the most amazing surprise menu with paired wines. Even with a few fussy eaters in our group our waitress Natasja was excellent! She noticed a few people weren't to keen on what some of the courses were (beef carpaccio was a little to raw for some!) but she happily swapped them over so no one went hungry. We were never rushed, got a full description of all our food and wines and it felt very special. Natasja went above and beyond to ensure we were all enjoying the experience, even making sure to cut out the label from one of the girls dresses! Thank you for a wonderful evening senses! The haddock with tom yum was the best thing ive ever eaten. Will certainly be returning!

Those were just a few of the expletives we used when our food was excellently served by Francisco. We chanced by Senses as we were staying next door at the Banks Mansion. What a find!!!! The menu itself, while small, is quite varied, and extremely esoteric. Each of the four courses we had (five courses are available) were at first a delight to the eyes with unusual colours. Next, the aroma of the food was saliva-inducing (drool? lol). Lastly, the taste of the fresh food, in the combinations, as served, were heaven. Add to that the wine-pairing - a different wine for each course, depending on the food served that course to each person - so for the two of us, only one course did we have the same wine - 7 different wines served over 4 courses to two people. BOOK AHEAD - they are almost always booked out I'll be back.....

All I can day about this place is that my expectations weren't very but that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food on offer. Try the three or four course surprise menu with an appropriate wine accompaniment. You won't be disappointed. Probably best to book in advance, although the restaurant wasn't completely full when I was there, it was almost fully booked. As far as I am concerned the value for money was spot on. All in all a pleasant surprise.

This restaurant was lovely. We enjoyed a great meal. The food was tasty and very well presented. We ordered the 4 course surprise menu and decided to take a bottle of wine instead of the wine pairing. All in all a lovely evening but the service could of been a bit better. For example, they didn't put our wine in a wine cooler until the very end so our wine didn't stay that fresh, also we had to serve the wine ourselves. These are little things but what you'd expect from a fancy restaurant such as this.

It seemed a bit of a risk booking this for my girlfriend and I on Valentine's Day but I'm so glad I did. I didn't really know what to expect. It's nice to sit down and not have to order a thing. I think we had about seven courses and each one of them looked and tasted exquisite. Also I'm not usually a wine fan at all but the wine we tasted that night alongside our food really was superb. The staff were so friendly and they made us feel really welcome, not to mention they knew the menu inside out. Perfect for a special occasion.
