The enthusiastic restaurant team will gladly offer advice concerning the range of organic and sustainable wines, of which more than 10 are served per glass. They can comprise a refreshing wine arrangement for your enjoyment, allowing you to experience the ultimate Senses feeling.

Whenever possible, the chef selects and purchases products from local suppliers who have the same values as the restaurant. Choose between a 2-, 3- or 4-course surprise menu, that starts at €24,50 or select a dish from the inventive menu. Naturally, we also provide ‘quick 40-minute lunches’ for those who are limited in their time. Open seven days a week from 12:00h to 15:00h for lunch on the Vijzelstraat in Amsterdam.

    Our receptionist at Max Brown called and got us a last minute reservation........we were so lucky...it was amazing. My husband commented that our 2 1/2 hour dinner was like the symphony "Bolero" by Ravel. Starting with the beet gazpacho wrapped in white chocolate to the decadent lemon, mint creative dessert which was the perfect climax to out meal. We chose the 4 course meal with the wine pairing and the meal was e exquisite... And best of F all... Despite being given 3 sweet treats..we did not feel overstuffed or bloated. Hands clapping and hats off to a superb chef and a knowledgeable staff.

    Booked a table at the Senses restaurant as part of the 45th anniversary present for my parents. The restaurant staff was really accommodating in my specific wishes for said dinner. My parents were thrilled by the beauty of the dishes served and amazed by the splendid combination of flavours and accommodating wines. They had a nice evening and felt special, exactly what I was aiming for. My thanks to the chef and the serving staff.     The restaurant might not have the best location it is one of the best concept in Amsterdam. I took the Three courses menu of the chef and we got surprise we different than the always usual dish we got in every restaurant.

    It is a small and cosy restaurant situated at ground floor of a small hotel near the flower market. We ordered their surprise 3-course lunch. Each dish is finely cooked, perfectly displayed and delicious, and of course, surprises you. We enjoyed the lunch very much. The only thing to comment is that food portion is too small even for ladies of petite appetite. And also one bread roll for 2p !!!

    We happened to walk past this restaurant and made a booking for the next night. we had the "surprise" menu with a glass of wine selected for each course and everything was excellent. Two fish courses, one meat and a dessert - all delicious. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back again.

    We booked on a weekday afternoon, although i will recommend doing so in advance as the place was completely full that night. I had no expectations nor have i ever heard of the place. The servers were all extremely pleasant and very informative with no airs about them. Only did the 3-course surprise meal (they decide what to serve) as I had a late lunch. I would recommend at least 4 or above (up to 6 i believe). They are able to cater to all dietary preferences, eg my fish was served raw while my partners was cooked. Wine selection was excellent with a wine pairing menu available as well. Would definitely return. Slightly pricey but worth it for what you get.

    What an amazing experience with the 4 course mystery menu. Dishes were a surprising and delectable selection of fish, beef, cegie; all creatively designed and cooked. Natasha the sommelier was so smart, friendly and fun we felt we could be friends. We wanted to do it all over again as soon as we were finished!
