Senses by Lars Bertelsen prepares unconventional and creative dishes, made with daily fresh and, if possible, sustainable ingredients. The kitchen team prepares your dishes in an open kitchen within the modern and stylish restaurant. Let your senses be stimulated and opt for the unexpected. Choose from the weekly alternating 3 to 6-course surprise menu and embark on your own voyage of discovery.

Chef Lars Bertelsen, maître d’hôtel Natasja van Praag and their teams look forward to giving you a tantalizing and delightful culinary experience!

  • Senses feels that serving the right drinks is just as important as the ‘food art’ on your plate. A lovely, well suited wine will make any dish truly special. To genuine food lovers, the perfect wine/food combination is an absolute must. The enthusiastic restaurant team will gladly offer advice concerning the range of organic and sustainable wines, of which more than 10 are served per glass. They can comprise a refreshing wine arrangement for your enjoyment, allowing you to experience the ultimate Senses feeling.

  • Senses is not only about the perfect combination of flavours and presentation, quality & sustainability play an important role as well. Whenever possible, the chef selects and purchases products from local suppliers who have the same values as the restaurant. We are referring to organically sound, sustainably produced and, most importantly, fresh produce. Discover ingredients that you never expected to ever eat. Expect the unexpected.

  • After 16 years of experience at a variety of restaurants in Amsterdam Lars has been able to make his mark with his creative cooking techniques and ‘plating skills’. This gave cause to introduce ‘Senses by Lars Bertelsen’ per the 1st of January.
