At Senses Restaurant, a renowned fine dining restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam with a focus on sensory gastronomy, we are looking for a talented and service-minded Restaurant Supervisor to strengthen our front-of-house team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervising daily operations on the restaurant floor and ensuring smooth and professional service;
  • Supporting and guiding the service team to deliver exceptional guest experiences;
  • Welcoming guests and ensuring every detail of their visit exceeds expectations;
  • Collaborating closely with the kitchen and sommelier to ensure seamless communication and timing;
  • Assisting with training, coaching, and motivating team members;
  • Handling guest feedback and resolving any issues with elegance and efficiency;
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of service standards and procedures;
  • Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP);
  • Supporting the Restaurant Manager with scheduling, stock control, and administration when needed.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

  • Previous experience as a supervisor or senior waiter in a fine dining or high-end restaurant;
  • Strong sense of hospitality and genuine passion for guest service;
  • Confident, professional, and approachable appearance and attitude;
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, solution-focused mindset;
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and lead by example;
  • Knowledge of wines and fine dining etiquette is a strong advantage;
  • Fluent in English (Dutch and/or a second language is a plus);
  • Flexibility and availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays;
  • Living in or near Amsterdam.
